From the ashes of Choking Victim and after 3 full length releases (2 on Hellcat, 1 on Alternative Tentacles) along with touring their asses off for more than seven years, NYC’s political ska-punk band Leftover Crack is proud to announce the Fat Wreck/Alternative Tentacles co-release of their split CD/LP, Deadline, with their heroes (and sometime Subhumans) from the U.K.: Citizen Fish. Leftover Crack’s contribution to the split was tracked in only three days and it’s packed with cameos from the likes of Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) and M.D.C.’s Dave Dictor. It features 5 Leftover Crack originals and one cover each of a Subhumans and Citizen Fish song. Leftover Crack continue their unique style of fusing pop melodies with hard-core crust-punk, ska & death metal with hoarsely vocalized politics. The band carries on their tradition of singing about the politics of being an atheist, squattin’, train-hoppin’, garbage-eatin’, anti-capitalist, anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-homo-phobic, misanthropic, insane mess in this nightmare life we live in , under the threats of an impending apocalypse. Deadline hits the streets on March 6th, 2007 with a US tour to follow.
